HARLINGEN, TX.—Juanita Alcorta
Comments 0 | Recommend 090, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 20, 1919 to Juan and Gregoria Salazar in Ottine, Texas, a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, and is preceded in death by her 3 daughters; Olga Alcorta, Maria Alcorta, Elida Alcorta, 2 brothers; Paulino Salazar, Jose Salazar, 5 sisters; Francisca Donez, Mercedes Donez, Delfina Donez, Dolores Villanueva and Hilaria Perea.
Left behind to cherish loving memories are her children; Manuel (Carmen) Alcorta of San Antonio, Reyes (Ruth) Alcorta of Iowa, Margarita (Isidro) Diaz of Kenedy, TX, Carmela (Erasmo) Cordero of Harlingen, 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 27 great, great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, Dec. 17, 2009 at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace from 10 am until 9 pm with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 pm.
The funeral procession will depart on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at 9:30 am for a funeral service to be held at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church at 10 am. Interment will follow at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are; Ramon Donez, Rick Alcorta, Danny Alcorta, Erasmo Cordero, Jaime Salazar and Jose Angel Alcorta.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of Harlingen.
