CLARKSVILLE, TX.— Mildred Cleo Altum Grantham

Age 82, a long time resident of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, November 08, 2009 at Clarksville Nursing Center.

Mrs. Grantham was born January 1, 1927 in May, Texas the daughter of John Russell and Lucille Newcomb Altum. She graduated from La Feria High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in La Feria. She married Richard Donald Grantham on April 23, 1953 in Rio Hondo, Texas.

Her husband preceded her in death along with two brothers, Mack Jennings Altum and Bronce Milton Altum.

Survivors include her sister, Marjo Altum King of Woodville, Texas; her step daughter, Wanda Grantham Dahl of Mancos, Colorado; a grandson, R.Craig Miser of Rockwall, Texas; her great grandchildren, Courtney Renee’ Miser and Ryan Miser of Rockwall; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas with Tresha King Hattar officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
