HARLINGEN, TX.—Amado Villegas

Amado was a member of the Tony Butler Pan American Golf Assoc. for many years and will be remembered for his love of music and how he was always the life of the party.
Preceding him in death are his parents Julian and Josefina Villegas and two brothers Jesus Villegas and Julian Villegas, Jr.
Surviving him is his wife of 43 years, Lydia D. Villegas of Harlingen, two children Albert Villegas (Reyna) of San Antonio, Henry Villegas (Ruby) of Houston, and four grandchildren Carolina Celeste, Marco Orlando, Bianca Analisa and Antonio Joaquin Villegas.
Also surviving him are four sisters Elva Partida, Tey Villegas, Maria Elena De La Cruz, Lupita Villegas, two sisters-in-law Rachel Villegas, Paula Villegas and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held today at 2 PM, Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Harlingen. Funeral services will conclude at the church.
The family would like to thank all the ER staff at VBMC, MICU, especially the staff on the 3rd floor. They would also like to thank all of his co-workers at the Wal-Mart of San Benito for their kind words and support during this difficult time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen.
