Foods Rich in Calcium

QUESTION: If someone is not much of a milk drinker, what are some other food choices that are rich in calcium?

Incorporating calcium in your daily diet can be easier than you may think: According to ADA (American Dietetic Association)
- Drink low-fat or fat-free milk or fortified fruit juice 
- Try drinking low-fat flavored milk.
- Enjoy calcium-rich snacks like yogurt, cheese and crackers and pudding.
- Choose foods with more calcium such as dark green leafy vegetables and fortified cereals. Start slowly, adjust your menus to include more dairy, and before long calcium will be a part of your daily routine
