Laura Denise Carey and Christopher McNeal Sparks, of Harlingen, Texas were united in marriage on August 23, 2008 at St. Albans Episcopal Church in Harlingen, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Scott Brown of Harlingen,Texas.

The Bride is the daughter of Mike and Dee Carey of Harlingen, Texas. The Groom is the son of John Sparks and the late Elizabeth "Cherry" Sparks of Harlingen,Texas.

The Maid of Honor was the sister of the bride, Cyndi Carey and the Best Man was Francisco Zamora. Danielle Delarosa, Claire Sims, Charity Bowen, Kimberly Dominguez and Sable Sparks, sister of the groom were bridesmaids.

The Groomsmen were Chase Willms. Bryan Bauer, Randy Malone, Scott Meade and Ryan Carey, brother of the bride. The Ushers were Zach McLemore, John Wright, Kenny Misenheimer and Art Nelson. Kaitlyn Carey, sister of the bride, and Maya Martinez were Flower Girls and August Wilson was the Ring Bearer.

The reception was held at Puesta del Sol in Harlingen, Texas.

The newly-wed couple traveled to Costa Rica for their honeymoon and will reside in Harlingen, Texas.
