Engagement Announcement

    Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cowan of Rio Hondo, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. James Phillips of Rancho Viejo, Texas proudly announce the engagement of their children, Elizabeth Ann Cowan and Cody Davis Phillips.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of paternal grandparents Mary Ann Cowan and the late Don Cowan of San Benito and maternal grandparents Janet Baker Payne and the late Bill Baker of Rio Hondo. The groom-elect is the grandson of maternal grandparents Maurine Morris of Harlingen and the late Charles Alvin Morris of Crystal City and paternal grandparents the late Thomas Jefferson and Violet Marie "Ree" Phillps of San Benito.

   Elizabeth is a graduate of Rio Hondo High School and Texas A&M University with a BBA in Marketing. She is currently employed by Harlingen Consolidated School District as the Child Nutrition Marketing Supervisor.

   Cody is a graduate of Harlingen South High School. He attended Texas Tech University and is the owner of two area businesses.

   The couple will wed in a water front ceremony at The Inn at Chachalaca Bend in Los Fresnos, TX  on February 26th with the Reverand Dr. John Teer of Harlingen officiating.

   Elizabeth and Cody will reside in Harlingen, TX.
