50th Wedding Anniversary 

Mr. and Mrs. Dario and Berta (Torres) Quintana celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 25, 2009. They renewed their wedding vows at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, in Harlingen, Texas. Dario and Berta had exchanged wedding vows, January 10, 1959 at Immaculate Heart of Mary, in Harlingen, Texas.

The couple were given a reception after the wedding mass at El Toro Dancing Hall in Lyford, Texas. Family and friends attended the reception. Out of town family that attended the celebration and reception were: Roberto and Inez Zuniga, Juan and Juanita Castillo of Laredo, Texas, Frank and Gloria Aleman of Rockport, Texas, Hector and Zulema Sanchez, Arnold and Juantia Sanchez of San Antonio, Texas, Johnny and Lola Ortiz of Corpus Christi, Texas including all of the wedding party.

Dario and Berta have one daughter, Edna Quintana Claus and her husband Edgar Claus. Their grandchildren are: Jordan, Tirzah, and Lia Claus all of Harlingen, Texas.

Dario grew up in Harlingen, Texas where he met Berta during their high school years. Dario worked for several companies and retired as an instructor from Texas State Technical College. Berta taught school in Harlingen, Texas and retired as a school counselor from the Rio Hondo ISD.

Dario and Berta made Harlingen, Texas their hometown.
