What happens after death — Part IV
As we continue on this series we have already established the fact that there is life after death because such a man has existed to where He died, was buried, and arose again from the dead, and His name is Jesus (see online articles on the resurrection of Jesus). Since He beat and conquered death, His Word becomes true. He proved to be the Son of God with power.
In our last article we established the fact that Jesus will one day come and judge the world with righteous judgment. Every unbeliever will be judged by God because they have failed to believe the testimony that God gave of His Son (1 John 5:9-13).
The day will come in which every unbeliever will one day stand before the White Throne Judgment. In Revelation 20:11-5 John the Apostle wrote, “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. and I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the
lake of fire.” Great and small means
The White Throne Judgment will be the judgment that every unbeliever will not want to participate in, but will. Regardless the belief system and religion, everyone who fails to believe that Jesus died and arose again from the dead will be judged in the White Throne Judgment. No doubt this is so politically incorrect and might be considered so judgmental and religious intolerant. But I would be doing you a disfavor and deceiving you if I told you the opposite.
Allow me to put forth a challenge to you who even dares to disbelief in the existence of God. Instead of getting upset and bothered, why not fully and honestly investigate the resurrection of Jesus. Do what Simon Greenleaf did. Simon Greenleaf who was a very successful and professional individual and an atheist decided to disprove Christianity.
Therefore, he attacked the core of Christianity, which is the resurrection of Jesus.
Applying today’s investigative laws, he concluded that Jesus’ resurrection could be proved in court as a fact. Therefore he ended up being a Christian to the fullest sense. Before casting this belief to the side, you might want to look into it further yourself. Don’t just consider this foolish without doing any investigation on your own.
If medical doctors, lawyers, scientists fully study and investigate what they believe to be true with their profession, why shouldn’t you do the same with your spiritual beliefs?
Wouldn’t we be foolish if we said, “how dare they be so intolerant and politically incorrect for saying such things as cancer kills?” Of course we would! Don’t just believe anything spiritual without honestly and genuinely investigating it yourself whether you believe in God or a god, or whether you are an atheist and believe in the advancement of man. Why should you do that? Because your eternal destiny is at stake!
