LOS FRESNOS/ ABILENE, TX.— Timothy Lawrence Fliegel

23, born on January 15, 1986, in Wheeling, Illinois, passed away on December 8, 2009 in Abilene, Texas.

When Tim was 8 years old, his family moved to Rockwall, Texas where he lived until he was 16. He was confirmed at the Heath United Methodist Church, where he was active in the Youth Group and helped with the sound system. He excelled in music, playing French Horn, piano and guitar.

Tim was a 2004 graduate of Los Fresnos High School. He graduated from McMurry University in Abilene in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Jan Fliegel; his sister, Lucy, and his brother Conrad, of Los Fresnos; his grandparents,
Wolfram and Faith Fliegel of St. Cloud, MN and Roy and Catherine Hjelmaas of Eugene, OR; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

More than 100 friends and relatives attended a visitation on December 11 in Dallas, TX.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 19 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 321 E. Harrison Ave., Harlingen, TX.

His ashes will be buried in Crystal Lake, IA at a later date.
