MERCEDES— Marguerite (Mig) Schneider
Passed away on Sunday November 15, 2009 at the Aurora Hospice House in Weslaco, Texas.
She was born June 24, 1917 in Oak Park, Illinois. She spent her young life in the Chicago area and met her husband Dick, on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan.
Music and dance have always been an important part of her life and Dick had to prove himself on the dance floor before he was accepted.
Animals were always important and she has had many different types of pets in her life-including white rats and a monkey.
They had their first child, Lynne, in December 1943 and their second, a son ,Bill, in January 1949.
The family moved from Chicago to Denver, Colorado in 1954 and spent the next 20 years there. During that time they built their dream log cabin beside a clear stream in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Mig and Dick retired in 1972, sold the cabin, discoverd South Texas and spent the next 20 years between Llano Grande Park and their classic summer cottage on those sandy shores of Lake Michigan.
Mig valued her many wonderful friends at Llano Grande Park throughout the years.

She is survived by her sister, Janet Gunn, also her two children,Lynne Gilmore and Bill Schneider, her granddaughter Lorie Zamira, son in law Tom Gilmore, 9 nieces and nephews and their families.
Bill and Lynne want to say they are sincerly thankful for all of the support from all the many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Recreation Hall at Llano Grande Park on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Jim Rudd D. Min., with a reception to be held afterward.
