Wedding Announcement

    Carla Marie Eads of Harlingen, Texas and Richard Lee Mendieta of Georgetown, Texas were united in Holy Matrimony on February 12, 2011 at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Georgetown, Texas with Reverend Leonard DePascuale of San Bernadino, California officiating, and concelebrated by Reverend Rafael Vega of Lyford, Texas. A reception was held following the ceremony at Kindred Oaks in Georgetown.

    Carla is the daughter of Carl and Leticia Eads of Harlingen, Texas. She is a 2008 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.

    The Bride was attended by her Matron of Honor: Cheryl Flores and Maid of Honor: Carissa Eads both of Harlingen, Texas. Her bridesmaids were Selina Ahumada of San Antonio, Patty Mendoza of Corpus Christi, Audrey Gonzalez of Houston, Dr. and Mrs. Ricardo Castillo-1st Witness of San Antonio, Texas-the aunt and uncle of the bride, Emil and Gloria Traber-2nd Witness of Round Rock-groom's grandparents, special guest, Rosa V. Gomez, bride's grandmother of  Brownsville, Flower girl was Sophie Frances Mendieta (daughter of Richard and Carla) carried by Sarah McLaughlin. The Ring Bearer was Diego Nicolas Flores, bride's nephew and son of Mr. and Mrs. Josue Flores.

    Richard is the son of Richard Mendieta, Sr., of Austin, Texas and Judy and Charlie Hamilton of Granger, Texas. The Groom is a senior at Texas State University in San Marcos with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Sociology and is currently employed with Lowe’s in San Antonio. The groom's Best Man was Ryan Sossamon of Georgetown, Texas. Richard’s groomsmen were Chad Beeney, Robert Frederickson, Jamie Garcia and Austin Dulany all of Georgetown, Texas. His ushers were Raul Cantu, Jr., of Mercedes, Texas and Chad Risley, Georgetown Texas.

    After their honeymoon in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico, the couple have made their home in San Antonio, Texas.
