    Ernesto & Connie Escobedo celebrated their 44th year Wedding Anniversary on September 24, 2010 in Harlingen, Texas. They were married in Laredo, Texas 44 years ago. They received a special blessing at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Harlingen.

   Ernesto worked for Lane's-Shoppers' World (The 50-Off) for over 31 years. He has since retired and currently runs his own business in Harlingen. After having lived in several South Texas border cities, the Escobedo's planted roots in Del Rio, Texas, where they raised their three children.

    One of their biggest achievements was their active and passionate involvement in the Marriage Encounter organization which they did for over 25 years.

    Their three children are: Ernesto Escobedo Jr., Ph.D. who is married to Claudia (Gonzalez) Escobedo from El Paso. They have two daughters, Tessa and Jenna. They reside in San Antonio, Texas.

   George P. Escobedo is a plaintiff attorney in San Antonio. He is married to Yvonne (Vasquez) Escobedo from El Paso and they have two children, Diego, and Sofia. They currently reside in San Antonio, Texas.

   Claudia (Escobedo) Gutierrez is employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. She is married to George Gutierrez from Harlingen and they have three children, Krista, Gia, and Matthew. They reside in Harlingen, Texas.
