ALAMO/EDINBURG, TX.—Ubaldo Fuentes

82, entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 05, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on May 26, 1927 in Matamoros, Mexico to Francisco Fuentes and Francisca Vento Fuentes.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; Rosa Maria Fuentes, brothers; Heriberto Fuentes, Francisco “Paco” Fuentes, and Samuel Fuentes, brothers-in-law; Luz Gomez, Beto Garza and Manuel Barrera.

Ubaldo is survived by his sons: Baltazar (Alicia) Fuentes, Jorge Luis (Anne) Fuentes, Jaime (Griselda) Fuentes, and Francisco (Susana) Fuentes, daughters: Eudelia Fuentes and Alma Delia (Joe) Pena, brothers: Carlos (Esperanza) Fuentes, and Jose (Claudia) Fuentes, sisters, Otilia Gomez, Lydia (Roy Elizondo) Vento, Graciela Garza, Hermelinda (Fidencio) Garza,  and Hortencia Barrera, sisters-in-law; Olga Fuentes and Lidia Fuentes, 19 – grandchildren and 14 – great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a very funny, loving, responsible and caring person who enjoyed life and lived life to the fullest. He was the joker of the family and loved to dance. He was an inspiration to the family and will be missed by his family and all those who knew him.

The family will receive friends today, November 13, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.

Christian services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 E. Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Alexander Rubio, Daniel Fuentes, Raul Hernandez, Jorge Ubaldo Fuentes, Joe Henry Pena, Bobby Pena, Chris Pena, and Jaime Fuentes, Jr.

Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
