MERCEDES, TX.—Amalia Carr

70, passed away Wednesday Sept. 9, 2009 at Aurora House in Weslaco.

She is survived by her husband Herbert Carr of Mercedes; two sons Stanley Carr of Mercedes, Walter Carr of Leander, TX; a daughter Lorena Carr of Mercedes; three brothers Humberto Garcia, Rene Garcia both of Rio Bravo, Tamps. Mexico, Guadalupe Garcia of Mercedes; three sisters Anita Fernandez of Harlingen, Maria Garcia of Rio Bravo, Tamps, Mexico; Juana Rodriguez of Alice, TX; also surviving are eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday at Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Chapel services will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home of Mercedes. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home of Mercedes.
