    HARLINGEN, TX. - Jose R. Garza

    88, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008 in Harlingen, Texas.

    He was born August 9, 1920 to Tomas and Guadalupe Garza in Matamoros, Tamps. Mexico.

    He is survived by his loving family; 1 Daughter: Blanca Garza of Harlingen, Texas, 7 Sons: Manuel J. Garza, Everardo Garza, Agapito Garza, Hector Garza, Filiberto Garza, Jose I. Garza, Ignacio Garza all of Harlingen, Texas, 29 Grandchildren, and numerous great-great-great-grandchildren, 1 sister: Maria Pita Garza.

    His wife Aurelia Garza precedes her in death.

    Visitation will be held today, Sunday, October 5, 2008 from 9 AM to 9 PM with a prayer service tonight at 7 PM.

    Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 6,2008. We will depart Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace at 1:30 PM for a 2 PM mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

    Interment will then follow at Rio Hondo Community Cemetery.

    Pallbearers are his Sons: Manuel J., Everardo, Agapito, Hector, Filiberto, Jose I. and Ignacio Garza.
