Rodolfo Rene Guerra

Rodolfo Rene Guerra went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2011 after a short fight with the complication of his illness.
He was a Vietnam Veterean and served his country proudly, along with his two brothers, Ray and Richard in the United States Marine Corps. After being honorably discharge from the Marines, he came back to San Bentio and later went to work in Chicago. Upon returning from Chicago he settled here in San Benito and worked at several professions until his retirement.
He is preceded by his brother, Rolando C. Guerra.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Montez Guerra, his children Carlos Rene, Crystal Ann Guerra and a stepson, Rene Eduardo Torres, all of San Benito. He is also survived by his children from a previous marriage, son, Hector G. Guerra, Browns-ville and daughters, Beatrice and Laura Ann Guerra, San Antonio and Arlington respectively. He is also survived by his parents, Rodolfo G. and Elvira C. Guerra, San Benito, brothers, Ray C. Guerra (Laura) of Arvada, Colorado, Richard C. Guerra of Harlingen, Texas; sisters, Minerva C. Sturgill, San Antonio, Norma Guerra, Austin and Graciela G. Agurre (Rick), Harlingen; other survivors include aunts, Viola Gonzales, Irma Tamez and Olga Rodriguez; uncles, Hector F. Guerra and Ruben Corkill; plus numerous cousins.
There will be visitation today at Henry Thomae Funeral Home at 701 North Bowie, in San Benito, Texas, from 1pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7:00pm in the Thomae Chapel. There will be a mass at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church on Thursday at 10am, Burial will follow at Mont Meta Cemetery with full military honors.
