Born in Mercedes, but a lifetime spent growing up in San Benito and raising his family in Harlingen. Joe was born into this world on December 30, 1955 and was welcomed into the glorious gates of heaven on October 26,2009 at the age of 53.

Joe’s deep love and affection of family and friends will always be treasured. He is one who always gave from the bottom of his heart. His compassion, tenderness, courage, and strength is an inspiration to all who know and love him. His complete and total faith in God guided his path to a new life without suffering. Amen!

The family will be planning a blood drive as soon as possible in Joe’s memory. Details will be provided later.

Joe is preceded in death by his youngest son, Noe Israel Sandoval; his beloved brother, Albert Hernandez; his father, Braulio
Sandoval; and his step-father, Luis Hernandez.

He is survived by his wife Norma Linda; children Stephanie Lea (Michael) Vento and Jose Luis Sandoval II; a precious grandson Ezra Isaiah Vento; mother Andrea C. Hernandez; sister Diana (Raul) Garcia; brothers Armando (Guadalupe) Hernandez, Luis Hernandez Jr., and Jesus (Norma) Castro; In-laws Alfredo P. and Celia G. Trevino; sister-in-laws Nora (Esteban) Martinez, Nita (David) Smith, Nedia ( Jimmy) Espinoza, Mary Hernandez; also brother in –laws Alfred (Nora) Trevino III, Raul (Elizabeth) Trevino, and Gabriel (Veronica) Trevino.

He is also survived by the many nieces and nephews that cherished; Esteban II, Rebecca, Eloy, Robert M., Joseph, Desiree, Matthew, Michael, Joshua, Amanda, Elizabeth, Christina, Jennifer, Freddy, Sarah, Issac, Gabriel II, Victoria T., Clarissa, Bobby, Raul Jr., Erik, Robert H., Corina, Melissa, Alicia, Victoria H., and Karina. Including the little additions to the family Hannah, Juan Jose, Jacob S.,Haylee, Eloy II, Audrey, Joseph Jr., Triston, Devany,, Isabella, Matthew G., Jacob G., Dyvonne, Khloey, Erik Jr., and Ginger.

Pallbearers will be Armando Hernandez, Luis Hernandez Jr, Jesus Castro, Alfredo Trevino III, Raul Trevino, and Gabriel
Trevino.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raul Garcia, Esteban Martinez, David Smith, and Jimmy Espinoza.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October29, 2009 from 5PM to 9PM with a rosary starting at 7PM.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October30, 2009 at 3PM at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 1300 Combes, San Benito with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.

If you are unable to attend, the family asks for your prayers as they send Joe off to the gentle waiting arms of our Lord.
