Chris Boswell Responds to the Valley Morning Star's Question
The Valley Morning Star invited candidates in the May 12 Harlingen city elections to respond to a question on video.
The candidates were asked: What is the biggest issue facing Harlingen, and what would you do to address it?
A maximum of two minutes was made available to each candidate. The candidates had the choice, after answering the question, to deviate and talk about anything. The videos are uncut and unedited.
Chris Boswell, 48, is a candidate for Harlingen mayor.
Boswell, an attorney at Stapelton, Curtis & Boswell, LLP, has served as city commissioner Place 4 for nine years. His campaign is focusing on building on the strengths that Harlingen already has.
After graduating from San Benito High School in 1976, Boswell attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
In 1983, he earned a doctorate from the Southern Methodist University School of Law and that same year married his high school sweetheart Anita Simmons Boswell.
