MERCEDES, TX.—
Ignacio Hernandez, 87, a lifetime resident of Mercedes passed away at his residence in Mercedes. He was born September 22, 1923 to Vicente and Maria Gutierrez Hernandez in Mexico.
He is survived by his loving family; 1 daughter: Irma Hernandez of Mercedes, 4 grandchildren: Veronica Yzaguirre of Washington, Brandy Yzaguirre of Washington, David Yzaguirre of Mercedes, Reynaldo Yza-guirre Jr. of Washington, 4 sisters; Verna, Rosa, Martha, Elena, 3 nephews; Vicente (Cynthia) Hernandez of Mercedes, Sergio Hernanez of Brownville, Jose (Mary) Hernandez Jr. of Mercedes, 2 nieces: Nora (Ruben) Rios of Mercedes, Margarita Hernandez of Mercedes.
Ignacio is preceded in death by his parents; Vicente & Maria Gutierrez Hernandez, 2 daughters; Melissa Rodriguez, Antonia Garcia, 1 son; Gabriel Herrera, 2 brothers; Jose G. Hernandez, Daniel Her-nandez, 1 sister; Josefina Hernandez.
Visitation will take place Friday, July 22, 2011 from 12p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a prayer service to be prayed at 7:00p.m. That will conclude all services for Mr. Ignacio Hernandez.
Mr. Hernandez was a loving and dedicated son, husband, father and grandfather. He is and will forever be loved and missed by all those who knew him.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Mercedes.
