PORT ISABEL — Keith Keller
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Age 72 of Port Isabel, Texas passed gently from this life on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. Keith was born on August 8, 1937 in Knox City, Missouri to Julia Duncan and Karl K. Keller who preceded him in death.
Keith is survived by his wife, Dolores Keller of Port Isabel; sister, Linda Ford (William); two brothers, children; Kimberly Kay Yzaguirre (Christopher Able), Kathryn Kristine Johns (Jeff), Keary Keenan Keller (Lisa), Kenton Kyle Keller (Sarah) and Karen Kamillie Hahn (Kevin), and four step-children; David Gene Golterman (Sandy), Debbie Ann Dietz (David), Patricia Sue
Sowder (Anthony), Kim Marie Steffenson (Michael) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Keith had a Bachelors in Engineering and served in the United States Air Force as a medic. Keith played on the PGA Tour and was an avid lover of the game of golf. Before retirement, Keith was a developer/contractor. He was instrumental in the success of Long Island Village as a key salesperson. Keith also served on the Board of Directors for Holiday Hills in Branson, Missouri, a condo development. Keith and his wife Dolores were the owners of the Las Ventanas Club at the Bahia Mar for five years.
Keith was known for his active participation in the community. He and his wife contributed to many local causes and charities over the course of the years. Keith had a natural ability to make everyone a friend and welcome addition to his long list of friends. This exceptional man will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A Celebration of Keith’s Life will be held at the Chapel by the Sea, Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island, Friday, November 20th at 2:00 pm.
