Maria Navarro Sosa
MERCEDES, TX.—
Maria Navarro Sosa, 74, a lifetime resident of Mercedes, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2011 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. Maria was born May 19, 1937 to Gabriel Viveros and Maria Guillen Viveros in Mexico.
She is survived by her loving family; husband; Hector Sosa Sr. of Mercedes, Texas, 3 sons: Jose Luis (Patricia) Sosa of Alton, Ill., Hector (Diana) Sosa Jr. of Harlingen, Ruben (Kimberly) Sosa of Mercedes, 6 daughters; Hilda (Frank) Ortiz of Sanger CA., Irma (Ruben) Arriaga of Fort Stockton, Texas, Adela (Joe) Espinoza of Weslaco, Texas, Sylvia (Chris) Kromer of Weslaco, Texas, Melinda (Noe) Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas, Rosa (Bob) Martinez of Weslaco, Texas, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 8 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will take today, Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 12p.m to 9:00p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00p.m. tonight.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 22, 2011. We will depart Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace at 9:30a.m. for a 10:00a.m. mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will then follow Ebony Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Jose Luis Sosa, Hector Sosa Jr., Hector Sosa Jr., Ruben Sosa, Aaron Serna, Chance Arriaga and Ruben Sosa Jr. Maria was a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is and will forever be loved and missed by all those who knew her.
