MERCEDES/BLUETOWN, TX.— Dolores Martinez

94, a lifetime resident of Mercedes / Bluetown passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 at her residence. She was born March 10, 1915 to Casimiro and Paula Anciso Martinez in Mercedes, Texas.

She is survived by her loving family; 3 daughters; Francisca Trevino of Florida, Ernestina Garcia of Mercedes, Carmen Lozano of Mercedes, 1 sister; Maria M. Reyes of Indiana, 2 brothers; Casimiro Martinez of Mercedes, Manuel Martinez of La Feria, and numerous grandchildren , great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons; Casimiro and Odilon Cavazos of California, 5 brothers; Raul, Florencio, Asencion, Andres, Ramon Martinez and 1 sister; Adela M. Robles.

Visitation will be held today, Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 11:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. and on Monday, December 21, 2009 from 9:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a rosary to be recited Monday night at 7:00p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. We will depart Rudy Garza Funeral Home at 9:15a.m. for a 10:00a.m. mass at Christo Rey Church in Bluetown. Interment will then follow at El Zacatal Cemetery in El Zacatal Ranch.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of Mercedes.
