Two men in custody after Mission carjacking
MISSION — Two men are in police custody after an alleged carjacking Sunday night outside a bowling alley.
Police responded to the suspected carjacking outside Valley Bowl, 2140 E. Business 83, at 10:42 p.m. Sunday night, said Mission police spokesman Sgt. Jody Tittle.
Two men allegedly stole a brown Chevrolet Suburban at gunpoint outside the bowling alley, Tittle said. One of the suspects told police his black 9mm Beretta pistol accidentally fired during the alleged theft.
After reported carjacking, Palmhurst police located and pursued the suspects to 7 Mile Line and Glasscock Road. Police found the Suburban, but the suspects had fled on foot.
Police found one of the suspected carjackers at 12:09 a.m. Monday near 7 Mile Line and Glasscock Road. The other suspect was located later Monday by another local law enforcement agency, Tittle said, without providing further details.
Police have not released the identities of the alleged carjackers. They are set to face aggravated robbery charges at an arraignment this week.
