Palousek -Moczygemba Wedding Announcement
Alexandria Lauren Palousek and Allen James Moczygemba were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on December 29, 2007, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Raymondville, Texas, in an afternoon mass attended by family members and celebrated by Father Raul Salas, OMI, of San Antonio and Brownsville. The sanctuary and altars were festive in red poinsettias, lighted Christmas trees, and garlands and wreaths of holiday greenery.
For her wedding day the bride chose a strapless ivory and champagne beaded lace designer gown with mermaid skirt forming a short train and a beaded bolero jacket. A crystal comb and short sheer veil held her hair in a chignon. The bridal ensemble was completed with pearl earrings and a single strand of pearls, gifts from her father. She carried a nosegay of red roses, hand tied in ivory ribbon.
Scripture readings were given by Gregory Moczygemba, father of the groom, and offertory gifts were presented by Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Glenn Clark, godparents of the bride. Paulette Lefner and Robert Smith, accompanied by Belen Trujillo, sang "Wherever You Go" for the offertory and "Panis Angelicus" during communion. Violin and cello instrumental music was provided by Paul, Lindsey and Joey Kissling. The recessional was an original composition written and performed on organ by Paul Kissling, stepfather of the groom.
The bride was attended by her sister Ana Leigh Palousek Copeland of Dalhart, Texas, and the groom was attended by his brother Matthew Stephen Moczygemba of San Antonio. Flower girls Cadence Maryn Copeland, niece of the bride, and Mikaela Marie Moczygemba, niece of the groom, entered the church wearing shimmering holiday red dresses and riding in a Pennsylvania Amish wedding wagon designed and hand crafted for the occasion and decorated in holiday greenery.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lee Palousek of Raymondville, and granddaughter of Mrs. Roger F. Robinson of Harlingen and the late Mr. Robinson, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Raymond Palousek. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kissing of San Antonio and Mr. Gregory Moczygemba of Kosciusko, and grandson of Mr. James McDonald and the late Mrs. Mildred McDonald, and of the late Mrs. and Mrs. George Moczygemba and step grandson of Mrs. Betty Kissling of San Antonio and the late Mr. Gerald Kissling.
Family and friends enjoyed a reception at Monte Bello Ballroom in Harlingen, Texas, entering through large arrangements of ivory lilies and red roses which lined the entrance and flanked the bride's cake, a five layer confection decorated in sugar lilies and poinsettias and the groom's cake, chosen by the groom to depict his hobby of fishing. Lilies and roses cascaded over the bride and groom's table which was in a setting of lighted columns and flowing fabric. The guest's tables were laid in ivory and gold and each held an elevated centerpiece of ivory lilies, red roses, eucalyptus and grapevine. After dinner, the dance began with the traditional Czech grand march led by Mr. and Mrs. Emil Danek, cousins of the bride, from Jarrell, Texas.
Special guests were Mrs. R. F. Robinson, grandmother of the bride, Mrs. Betty Kissling, step grandmother of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Glenn Clark, godparents of the bride.
