PROGRESO LAKES-Amelia Fletcher

91, passed away March 8, 2009 at Aurora House.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jose Maria & Camila Castaneda, brothers Frank, Alberto & Jose Maria Castaneda, Jr., sisters Marie Quintanilla, Rosie Uresti and is survived by her husband Donald Fletcher of Progreso Lakes; two step-daughters Janette Fletcher (A.J.) Jones of Loop, TX, Susan Fletcher (James) Sikes of Brown-wood, TX; a sister Susie Garrison of Weslaco; a sister-in-law Senovia Castaneda of Mercedes; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fletcher was a beautician for 60 years. She was a very active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Weslaco. She will be greatly missed by her family and her church family.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Aurora House 2646 W. 18th St. Weslaco, TX 78596.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday March 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Seventh Day Adventist Church 1200 S. Bridge Ave. Weslaco, TX with Pastor Melvin Justin officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home of Mercedes.
