Border security versus hurricane evacuation
Should federal officials check the immigration status of persons fleeing an approaching hurricane, to be sure all persons evacuating north of the Border Patrol checkpoints are legally living in the US?
Yes. Having secure borders are more important. The country cannot risk allowing terrorists to slip into the country during a storm evacuation
No. Human lives are more important than borders. Everyone should be allowed to evacuate if a hurricane threat-ens the region.
I don’t know. The government should find another way that would keep people safe from a hurricane without jeopardizing national security.
