Wedding Announcement
Allison Mary Quillen and Mitchell Ray Cretors were united in marriage on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, Georgia. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Minister Barbara Ryan. The ceremony was immediately followed by a dinner reception and dance.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Carol Quillen of Garden Grove, California. The groom is the son of Randy and Janet Cretors of Harlingen, Texas.
Allison was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a satin and tulle asymmetrical pick-up gown with a pleated surplice bodice and beaded embroidered lace.
Serving as the bride’s maid of honor was Christine Thompson of Garden Grove, California. Allison’s bridesmaids included Kayla Jones and the bride's sister, Holly Quillen. The flower girl was Talia Lynd.
Serving as the groom’s best man was his brother, Clayton Cretors of Harlingen. Groomsmen included Derek Lucio of Harlingen and Mitchell’s cousin, TJ Cretors of Yoakum, Texas.
The photographer was Mary Peterson of Emerald Rose Photography.
The reception venue was decorated in bright hues of orange, pink and yellow. Circular tables were topped with bowls of live goldfish and personalized jars of honey inscripted with the words, ‘‘We are meant to bee.’’ The bride’s cake was also topped with goldfish to commemorate the couple’s first date at the South Carolina Aquarium on Charleston Harbor.
The groom is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School in Goose Creek, South Carolina.
The couple currently resides in Norfolk, Virginia where Mitch is serving on the USS West Virginia.
