Expressway lanes closed for repairs

The Texas Department of Transportation will close a section of Expressway 77/83 near Valle Vista Mall, to allow road repairs in the area.
TxDOT said Thursday the two southbound lanes will be closed as far south as FM 509, also known as Paseo Real and Helen Moore Road in San Benito, until Feb. 10.
The construction will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
TxDOT said the road closures include the exit ramps. Drivers can expect delays and must observe all warning signs.
