40th Wedding Anniversary 

     

     

     

Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Barbra (Webb) Decker will celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary on August 8, 2009. They exchanged wedding vows, August 8, 1969 at the Spring Street Baptist Church in Waco.

     

     

They have six sons, Richard Decker, Jr., of San Francisco, CA, Scott and wife, Kathy, Decker of Colleyville, TX, Kenneth and JoAnn Turner of Mansfield, TX, Robert Turner of Mt. Calm, TX, Gerald Decker of Plano, TX, and Lance and wife, Tammie, Decker of Athens, TX. They have six grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.

     

     

Dick grew up in and around Harlingen, TX down in the Rio Grande Valley and Barbra grew up in and around Evant, TX. They met in Waco where they were both working.

     

     

Dick has been retired ten years after he had worked for Dealers Electrical Supply for forty-two years. Barbra has also been retired for ten years after she had worked for American Income Life for seventeen years. She had also worked for Star Electric, Jones Electric and Surgico.

     

     

After living in Waco for most of their adult lives, six years ago they moved to a new home on some land North of Purmela near Gatesville.
