RIO HONDO, TX.— Jesusa J. Ochoa
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Lifetime resident of Rio Hondo, Jesusa “Chuché” J. Ochoa, 80, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom, Sunday morning, December 13, 2009.
She was born on February 5, 1929 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Jose A. Juarez & Blasita Sandoval.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Ochoa, Jr.; her parents, Jose & Blasita Juarez; and sister, Josephina Carrizales.
Jesusa is survived by her loving family including her five children, Oscar Ochoa of Alabama; Aida O. (Michael) Garza of Edinburg; Idalia O. (Reyes) Flores of Harlingen; Ricardo (Nelda) Ochoa of Harlingen; & Brenda (Lupe) Gauna of Rio Hondo; 10 grandchildren, Amaya Ochoa, Victoria (Scott) Stanolevich; Daniel Ochoa; Brenda (Lupe) Gauna; Miranda (Jade) Gomez; Meagan (Michael) Ortiz; Reyes Flores III; Victor Flores; Victor I. Ochoa; & Rick A. Ochoa; and 8 great grandchildren, Oscar Ray Stanolevich; Lupe Jr., Katharyn, Kristopher, & Nickolas Gauna; Taylor Jade Gomez; Ayden Ortiz; and Nathaniel Flores. She is also survived by five brothers, Rodolfo, Ismael, Isabel, Narciso, & Leonardo Juarez; and six sisters, Lilly Cortez, Adela Anzuldua, Eudelia Herrera, Maggie Juarez, Rosita Leal, Sonia Mehaffey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today, December 15, 2009 from 11 A.M. to 9 P.M. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 2 P.M. at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Rio Hondo with Father Felix Casarez as celebrant.
Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery in San Benito.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Reyes Flores, III, Victor Flores, Victor Ochoa, Rick Ochoa, Lupe Gauna, Michael Ortiz and Jade Gomez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Ochoa and Scott Stanolevich
Jesusa was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. Grandma Ochoa was very well loved by all her family. She enjoyed playing bingo & chalupa at Paradise Adult Daycare where she attended in Harlingen. The family would like to thank all the staff & clients for all the happy times and memories that were shared and especially, Ofelia Guillen, her provider.
