Norma Bejaran Segovia
SAN BENITO, TX. — On July 20, 2011, our loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt & friend went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
Norma was born in San Benito, Texas on October 14, 1956. She was a 1976 graduate of San Benito High School. Norma worked at Valley Physician Services in Harlingen for many years. Despite her illness, she was very outgoing, cherished every moment and lived life to its fullest including traveling with family and friends. A few of her many adventures included trips to Hawaii, California, Las Vegas, Florida, and New York.
Norma is preceded in death by her father Alfonso P. Bejaran and her father-in-law Matilde V. Segovia.
Norma is survived by her loving family, sons: Jaime and Steven (Martha), her daughter Vanessa (Joey) and her grandsons Anthony Joseph Villarreal and Stephen Aiden Segovia; the lights of her life that brought her great joy and comfort. Norma is also survived by her mother: Francisca De leon Bejaran, Brother: Jerardo “Jerry” (Mary Jane) Bejaran, Sisters: Noemi (David) Sanchez, Rosa (Arturo) Ramirez, and Margarita “Margie” (Dennis) Zamarron, mother-in-law: Esther Segovia, sisters-in-law: Mary (Luis) Chavez, Elvia Tristan, Dora (Rick) Hernandez, her husband Gilbert Segovia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Among her family, Norma had many friends and was grateful for the moments she spent with them. Special thanks to Anne Flory, all of her co-workers at Valley Physicians Services and her best friend of many years, Noemi “Mimi” Gomez for all the love and support.
For all of us fortunate to have known her, we all knew she was loving, caring woman with a good heart, Norma will be dearly missed by all.
Mom, We love and miss you so much!! You will always live in our hearts!!
Visitation hours will be held Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary @ 7:00pm in Heavenly Grace Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2011 @ 11:00 am in Heavenly Grace Chapel. Burial will follow in Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Steven Segovia, Jaime Segovia, David Zamarron, Adam Longoria Jr., Isaac Garcia, and Bobby Bejaran. Honorary pallbearers are Stephen Aiden Segovia and Anthony Joseph Villarreal.
