Sanchez-Lira Engagement

The wedding will take place at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Harlingen at 2:00 P.M. on August 29, 2009

Mr. & Mrs. Gaspar and Maria Sanchez of Donna, Texas are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Thelma Sanchez of Donna, Texas to Jimmy Lira of Harlingen, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon and Maria Lira of Harlingen, Texas.

The bride graduated from Donna High School with honors in 1999, South Texas College in 2006 where she received an Associate's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and also received her Bachelor's Degree in English from The University of Texas-Pan American in 2008. Thelma is employed with the Donna Independent School District as an English teacher.

The groom graduated from Harlingen High School in 1998 and Wyoming Technical Institute in 1999 receiving an Associate's Degree in Applied Science. Jimmy is employed with Lira's Painting as a Foreman.
