Engagement Announcement

    Mr. Donald R. Smasal of Horizon City, Texas and Ms. Idalia Santos Smasal of McAllen, Texas announce the engagement of their daughter, Leigh Ann Smasal to Francisco Gutierrez, son of Mr. and Mrs. Luis Gutierrez of Edinburg, Texas. The couple will wed in November 2011 at Quinta Luz in McAllen, Texas. 

    The Bride-elect graduated from Harlingen High School South in 1998 and obtained her (BA) Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Management and Design from the University of Incarnate Word in 2002 in San Antonio, Texas.  She will graduate magna cum laude with a Master’s in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Texas Pan American in May 2011.  Leigh Ann is employed at IDEA Public Schools.

   Francisco graduated from Edinburg North High School in 2000 and attended the University of Texas at San Antonio.  He is the owner of La Jaiba Mexican Seafood Grill in McAllen, Texas.

   After celebrating their honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in McAllen, Texas.
