Went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 18, 2008 in Dallas.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 20th. She was born to Will and Sallie Brown on September 14, 1915 in Davila, Texas.

She and her husband Earl lived in the Rio Grande Valley, the Weslaco area for over fifty years.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, by a daughter, Joan Brace, a brother and a sister.

She is survived by her son Kenneth Barnes of McAllen, daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Craig Wentrek of Dallas and son-in-law, Charles Brace of Huffman. She had six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
