Students from the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District will participate in the annual Jump Rope for Heart event Friday at bogus stadium.  Elementary students from across Harlingen CISD will participant in the event promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Jump Rope for Heart promotes the value of physical activity to elementary schoolchildren while showing them they can contribute to their community's welfare.  This is a time when children can establish the foundation for movement skills.  These are also the years when positive learning experiences can help establish a positive attitude and appreciation for participating in regular, daily physical activity for life.

Harlingen CISD students have participated in this event for several years.  Students will be bused to Boggus Stadium for the event which takes place between 11:30 and 2:30 p.m.
