Wedding Announcement

Mr. Marte Cesar and Mrs. Diana Guillen of La Feria, Texas announce the wedding of their daughter, Magda Carolina Guillen to Jordan Williams Swanson, son of Mr. Richard Swanson and Ms. Marcia Williams of Seattle, WA.

The ceremony took place at Casa Madero, Parras de la Fuente, Coahuila, Mexico. Rev. William Harper from Grace Episcopal Chapel in Bainbridge Island, WA officiated in the ceremony. A reception was held at Hacienda San Lorenzo at the Casa Madero, Parras de la Fuente, Coahuila, Mexico.

The Maid of Honor was Ms. Maurise Guillen, from New York, New York. The Matron of Honor was Maida Magana, from San Antonio, Texas. Both are sisters of the Bride.

The Best Man was Mr. Matthew Daggett of Washington, DC. Groomsmen were Dr. Justin Lappen of Chicago, II, Mr. Timothy McEvoy of Washington, DC, Mr. Derek Nowak of New Haven, CT., Mr. Joseph W. Ryan III of Washington, DC, Mr. Matt Johnson of Seattle, WA, and Mr. Connor Wilson of Seattle, WA.

Magda graduated from Harvard University with a B.A in 2002 and earned a Masters Degree from the London School of Economics in 2006. She works as a Research Analyst at New York based investment bank Merrill Lynch.

Jordan graduated from Harvard University with a B.A in 2002 and earned a Masters degree from the London School of Economics in 2006. He received a medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, in May 2008, and in July, he will take up his medical residency in the University of Washington's Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department in Seattle.

Mr. Jordan Gonzales of Boerne, TX, cousin of the bride, was the Usher and Ms. Marina Williams of Seattle, WA, cousin of the groom, was the Junior Bridesmaid.

Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cara Daggett of Washington, DC, Ms. Helen Gilbert of Chicago, II, Ms. Lesley Mitchell of Houston, and Laredo, TX, Ms. Annika Swanson of Seattle, WA, and Ms. Zainab Zakari of Harlingen, TX and New York, NY.

After a honeymoon trip to South Africa and Zambia, the couple will reside in Seattle, Washington.
