My friends seem to tell me that I can really listen to them tell me their problems or stories. I have a tender heart that seems to understand them and be there for them. They also tell me that I give good advice and it helps them in their given situation.

The most amazing thing about me is that I play my trumpet very well. I joined band as a 6th grader with the three-valved instrument without realizing what a good player I'd soon become. I wasn't the type of person who took my instrument home everyday and practiced for hours. Playing just came to me and with the help of the directors; I became the great player I am today. I have been selected to play in all-region bands though auditioning (meaning only the top players were selected) every year and this year I have been selected to advance to area. If I place high enough in Area I move to state where we do one last audition to see what band we will perform in. That's my ultimate goal and I am determined to strive for it.

There are some special characteristics that you inherit, that are innate. So, I would say the most amazing thing about me is that I am double-jointed. Not many people can do this, and to those who can’t, it looks disgusting. What I can do is make a certain joint in my thumb jut out, creating the illusion that I broke it, or twisted it, or something. Both of my hands are capable of doing it. This special ‘talent’ came from my father, who has taught me some tricks to use with it. It may be a petty talent, but hey, it’s different and amazing.

Last year in track I got first place in all events. This year, I don’t want to play baseball because I’m afraid of getting hit by the ball. Football sounds fun, but I have a tight schedule. I think the most amazing thing about me is my height. I am 5'8" and still stretching. An amazing trait of mine is my talent at basketball. I am currently leading in rebounds and blocks. We recently blew out Elsa by 50 points. I'm always hustling and helping my team mates out. What is the best trait about myself, I don’t really know I think it would be that when in school If I would fail something, anything then I would be sad about it because I would be like “oh I should have done this or that”. But then again I wouldn’t be that sad because I wouldn’t see it as failing much because I would learn from my mistakes. That’s good. I don’t ever get sad or mad a lot about it, and my parents would get mad a little bit and I would just say “oh well next time I know what to do”. I think that’s the best thing about me is that I never give up as bad as the situation is. I do that with whatever situation, I think. And I think that's probably the best trait. The most amazing thing about me is that I possess large amounts of perseverance. When I was in 4th grade I played basketball numerous times so that I would make it for the try outs. In addition, in 5th grade I got a big trophy for my perfect attendance during my elementary years. During my 6th grade, I finally made it to middle school. In my 8th year, my cousin Brody Lee Gonzalez was born and I was real excited to meet him because it was my first time that I experienced seeing a baby growing up. In my 9th grade year, I finally made it to high school and met new people and now I’m playing baseball for the first time for the Weslaco East Wildcats; I never gave up.

If I would choose my most amazing trait I would say that I never give up. I have learned that if you want something really bad then you need to fight for it. I have fallen many times but I’ve learned to get up. Like when I got in soccer every one told us that we couldn’t win a game and yes we lost many times but we practiced really hard every day and then the next game we finally won it. No one could believe it but it was true; then they didn’t tell us anything because we had proved them wrong. The most amazing thing about me is probably that I play music. I love to play the drums and the piano and I am trying to learn how to play guitar. I love playing music. Every time I go home I get my piano and I play songs that inspire me. I also like to play music with my brother. He plays the guitar and bass. We usually try to write our own songs. I started playing music when I was 11 years old. I started to learn the drums from one of my dad’s friends, but after a while I started to teach my self how to play because my dad’s friend couldn’t teach me anymore. I think the most amazing thing about me is that I can bake really well. I like to do it because it’s a way to pass time and at the end of it I make something really amazing. The most amazing thing about me could be a lot of things but the main one I think that is most amazing is, music. Music is the one and only thing in my life that let's me speak who I am, how I feel, or what I'm thinking it let's me be who I really am and lets me be, me. Also whenever I’m mad, sad, angry or just depressed I write songs to get things out of my mind and calm me down. I handle my anger pretty well then others because I use music to calm myself down, when I know I'm going to be angry or upset I use my thoughts and interest's in music to write a song. Most of my songs relate to what I go through or what's been on my mind lately, I also teach myself how to play certain instruments, like guitar, piano, drums and trumpet. Playing those instrument's actually calm's me down, and make's me get in that moment that let's me think in deep thought most of the time.

I definitely think that the most amazing thing about me is the care I have for other people. Even if I don't know them or may know them I still care even though some people wouldn't care if you were poor or hungry or without a family. My weakest point is going to Mexico, and seeing all those people asking for money and with new born babies in their arms, starving, no clothes on and more importantly no roof over their head. If I had all the money in the world, I would most definitely share with the people that need it the most. I guess you can say that's pretty amazing.

The most amazing thing about me is that I’m over 300 pounds but I never give up even when the challenge starts to get tough. Now that I am in 9th grade I have joined football. It was really hard for me to keep up and my body keeps telling me to give up, but I keep telling myself to keep going; and I’ll get through it. I never like to give up because I don’t want people to think that I give up every time something starts to get tough. Even right now in off-season with all this running every day.
