Engagement Announcement

   Ms. Nancy Tewell and the late Dr. Howard ‘‘Skip’’ Tewell of San Benito are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Allison Taylor Tewell of College Station, Texas to Alec Jacob ‘‘Jake’’ Merritt of College Station, Texas the son of Dane and Beverly Merritt of Dallas, Texas and Cynthia Merritt of Raymondville, Texas.

    The bride elect is attending Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and will graduate on May 13, 2010.

    The groom is employed by Legacy Offshore as a commercial diver.

    The bride’s grandparents are Constance Mae Beltrand of Bryan, Texas.

    The groom’s grandparents are Delma and Polly Merritt of Dardanelle, Arkansas and Olga Correa of Raymondville, Texas.

    The wedding date is May 8, 2010 and will be held at Lilian Farms and Event Center at 6:30 in the evening. Lilian Farms is located outside of College Station, near Brenham, Texas.

    After honeymooning in Jamaica, the couple, plan to reside in Harlingen, Texas.
