Simmons, San Benito, Texas, Juana Lawson Simmons, San Benito, Texas, Anita Simmons Boswell, Harlingen, Texas, Sarah Simmons Hays, Evergreen, Colorado and Dolores M. Simmons, San Benito, Texas (the "Cecil Simmons Family Group"), and Leonard P. Simmons, San Benito, Texas, Mary Beth Simmons, San Benito, Texas, Delores M. Simmons, San Benito, Texas, Ricardo Leal, Harlingen, Texas, Audrey Simmons Hooks, Austin, Texas, Samuel Simmons Harlingen, Texas, and Ernest Nash, III, Harlingen, Texas, (the "Leonard Simmons Family Group") (collectively, the "Notificants"), have applied to the Federal Reserve Board for permission to acquire 25 percent or more of the shares and thereby control of First San Benito Bancshares Corporation, San Benito, Texas. First San Benito Bancshares Corporation owns 100 percent of First Community Bank, National Association which has its head office in San Benito, Texas. The Federal Reserve considers a number of factors in deciding whether to approve the notice.
You are invited to submit comments in writing on this notice to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, P. O. Box 655906, Dallas, Texas 75265-5906. The comment period will not end before October 26, 2010 and may be somewhat longer. The Board's procedures for processing applications may be found at 12 C.F.R. Part 262.25.
