SAN PERLITA, TX.—Victoriano R. Llanes
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Died on August 12, 2009 at his home in San Perlita. He was born on March 23, 1922 in Rangerville, Texas to Carlos Llanes and Feliditas Rodriguez.
Victoriano or “Chico” as he was know by Willacy County farmers, was a native of Willacy County most of his life. As a young man, he worked for O. Cano Brook, Cleofus Brook and Pete Brook. Later he also worked for Funk Farms, DeWitt Farms and Claude Reoh Farm.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Natividad Llanes.
He is survived by his daughter: Felicitas (Paulino) Sauceda, Alicia (Israel) Cervantes and Lydia Llanes of San Perlita, Juana Carmelita Llanes from Dallas, Manuela (Dennis) Shong of Clarksville, Michigan; sons: Jose Llanes of Hazel Park, MI, Stephen Llanes of San Perlita and Ricardo Llanes of Fayetteville, Ohio, 23 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother Juan (Alicia) Llanes of Raymondville, Carlos Llanes of Arlington, Jose Louis of Austin and Miguel (Anna) Llanes of San Benito; his sisters: Marcelina Cervantes, Eusebia Cervantes, Paula Salazar and Nieves Vasquez of Raymondville and Isabel Hernandez of Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be Jose Stephen, Ricardo Llanes, Paul Sauceda, Israel Cervantes and Dennis Shong.
A rosary was held at 7:00 P.M., August 13, 2009 at Duddlesten Funeral Home in Raymondville and on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 7:00 P.M., at St. Anne Catholic Church in San Perlita. The funeral mass will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday August 15, 2009 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in San Perlita with interment to follow at Raymondville Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Duddlesten Funeral Home of Raymondville.
