A massive storm cloud is seen near San Benito Saturday afternoon as thunderstorms approached the area.

Storms moving across Cameron County

The National Weather Service Office in Brownsville has cancelled the severe thunderstorm warning for Cameron and Willacy County.

The NWS radar indicates the thunderstorm has weakened and is no longer as severe a storm as it was earlier this afternoon.

Forecasters said at one point residents reported four funnel clouds between the cities of Raymondville and Rio Hondo as the storm moves across the eastern Rio Grande Valley.

The storms, packed with high winds, thunder and lightning, are moving southeast at 10 mph.

Forecasters say the thunderstorms are capable of producing heavy rains, small hail and gusty winds.
