Villegas -Ipekisleyen Wedding Announcement

Ana Maria Villegas of Lyford and Abdurrahman Ipekisleyen of Diyarbakir, Turkey were united in marriage on March 26, 2011 at the McAllen Convention Center in McAllen, Texas. The Honorable Judge Migdalia Lopez officiated at the ceremony.

The Matron of Honor was Dr. Maria Villegas and the Best Man was Mr. Benjamin Guerra. The bridesmaids were Amy Chiang and Paula Villela, friends of the bride from Chicago, Illinois.

The couple had a second wedding celebration in Diyarbakir, Turkey on September 17, 2011. The wedding celebration in Turkey followed traditional Turkish and Kurdish wedding traditions with celebrations lasting two days.

The bride is the daughter of Dario and Maria Villegas of Lyford. Ana Maria is an immigration attorney at the Law Office of Kyle D. Brown, P.C. in McAllen, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mehmet and Fatma Ipekisleyen of Diyarbakir, Turkey. Abdurrahman is a mechanical engineer currently preparing to pursue a Masters in Mechanical Engineering while currently working in the family business.

Following the wedding, the bride and groom honeymooned in New York City.
