Spring Trends

Um, let’s see — the sun is out longer, the flowers are blooming; uh … eyes are itching, nose is running and allergies appear. It feels like Spring is in the air! All right, it’s time to freshen up that closet with some springtime trends. Let the fun begin!

There are plenty of clever trends to choose from this spring. Everything from adorable dresses and jumpers to cami’s and tunics are showing up in stores. Polka dots and ruffles. Heart prints. Good old-fashioned red, white and blue, or the “Yacht look.” The feel this spring is all about white picket fences and sand between your toes.

The Yacht look is a great look to use when you want to add some sophistication to your style. As an example, silver necklaces with anchor pendants are a great accessory popping up in stores. A white and red striped bag with rope-style handles is another example. To use these accessories in a dressy fashion, you could pair black sailor pants with a white and red striped blouse. Add some white snakeskin pumps with black at the tip of the shoe to finish the look.

For a more casual look, you could pair denim shorts with a white screen tee and blue stars print. Add some tan wedges with lace on the top of the foot and tan ribbon to wrap around the ankle and tie in a bow.
