BROWNSVILLE - Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a murder suspect they believe may be hiding in Brownsville, Weslaco, or Mexico.

Juan Bocardo, 60, is wanted by Baytown police on the charge of murder, said a Baytown police press release.

The arrest warrant was issued by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in connection with the June 2008 murder of 29-year-old Jesus Ramirez.

Baytown police discovered Ramirez’s body when they responded to a call of shots fired in the 2100 block of W. Humble St.

A small caliber handgun caused Ramirez’s fatal wounds, police said.

Police say Bocardo may be armed and is dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact their local police or Baytown CrimeStoppers at (281) 427-TIPS (8477).
