Murder, suicide suspected in death of 4
CLEVELAND — A welfare check on a family in San Jacinto County led to the discovery of four bodies in an apparent triple murder and a suicide.
Sheriff James Walters on Monday said it appears the suspected gunman ``might have been off his medication.'' Walters declined to elaborate.
Walters told The Associated Press that the bodies of the suspect's girlfriend, her 7-year-old daughter, an additional woman and a man were found Saturday night.
Walters says it appears the man killed the trio, then himself at a house in a rural area about 15 miles northwest of Cleveland, Texas.
Names of the victims were not immediately released by the sheriff.
The site is about 55 miles north of Houston.
