Coast Guard searches for disabled boat

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - The Coast Guard has sent a boat to search for a vessel that was reported as disabled at the mouth of the Arroyo Colorado. "We had a guy calling saying his engine broke down," a Coast Guard official at South Padre Island said.

The Coast Guard lost contact with the vessel, so launched a boat to search for it, the official said.

But the official said it is not an emergency situation.
