UPDATE: Bus accident results in no injuries
Comments 0 | Recommend 0HARLINGEN - No injuries were reported in a minor collision between an 18-wheeler and a Harlingen school district bus, Harlingen CISD Superintendent Steve Flores said today.
The incident happened about 6:55 a.m. when the school bus, carrying three elementary students and a bus monitor stopped, at the railroad crossing at Fair Park Boulevard near Commerce Street. The 18-wheeler made a turn and caught the side of the bus leaving a scratch on the side of the driver's side, Flores said.
"It wasn't a severe collision at all and there were no injuries," Flores said. "Because it was a minor fender bender the parents were notified. EMS was on site, but there was no need for any more medical attention."
