Harlingen Christmas parade set for Dec. 4
HARLINGEN — Parade float entries for the 63rd annual Jaycees’ Christmas Parade are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The Dec. 4 parade will begin at 7 p.m. and will travel along Jackson Avenue from Fourth Street to E Street.
This year’s parade theme is “A Centennial Christmas.”
Parade participants are asked to decorate floats to represent one decade between 1910 and 2010.
Entry forms and rules are available at the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce, Harlingen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Harlingen City Hall. Form can be downloaded at www.downtownharlingen.com. Click on events and on Jaycees Annual Christmas Parade.

A piñata festival in Gutierrez Park, hosted by Harlingen’s Downtown, will be held in tandem with the parade between 7 and 10 p.m. The free event will feature music, piñatas, and snow where children can play.
