Harlingen now feeling the brunt of Dolly
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Harlingen and the upper Cameron County area are now feeling the strongest wind and heaviest rain from Hurricane Dolly, the National Weather Service in Brownsville said.
Meteorlogist Alfredo Vega said these conditions should continue for the next hour or two.
Dolly is taking a more northern track than originally forecast, making landfall at the Cameron-Willacy county line, but the storm is moving slowly and the weather service says the region should expect 6 to 10 inches of rain, with as much as 15 inches falling in some places. Widespread flooding remains in the forecast.
Weather radar estimates that 10 inches of rain is pelting Arroyo City.
