HARLINGEN — Police arrested seven Harlingen residents Wednesday evening during a narcotics raid in the 200 block of East Grimes Avenue.
Special Investigations Unit officers and SWAT team members found about six grams of crack cocaine and other items commonly used to distribute narcotics while executing a search warrant, police said.
During the raid at an apartment, police arrested Isaac Castañeda, 28; Juan Gonzalez Jr., 31; Adam Gritzner, 31; Jorge
Rodriguez, 40; Lucia Raquel Mancillas, 22; Jesus Rey Botello, 25; and Francisco Castanon, 41, police said.
Castañeda, Gonzalez, Mancillas and Rodriguez were charged with possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony, police said. Their bail was set at $20,000 each.
Castanon, Gritzner and Botello were charged with outstanding court warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication, respectively, according to police. Their bails were set between $312 and $340, police said.
